Malaysia I Love you

It’s been quite sometime since I’ve updated my blog. Well to be honest it’s been really long and I’ve gotta update it somehow. A big thanks to the latest iPhone wordpress application update, I get to have my stories carried along with me. Well, I just gotta inform you guys i’m back in Malaysia, my country that I love so much. Been doing nothing much but slacking around playing world of Warcraft. But got a little carried away with the lag and slow backward Internet. Well I wouldn’t complain, but I would Like to. Ha ha. I wanna visit other countries for holidays but it seems it’s pretty difficult with my dads situation. Travelling is not what I’m gonn get. Hope to earn my own money next time and really travel in style. Luxury is everything in travelling. Woot. I better sign off here and hope to update a little sooner. Cheers.

The Best Weekend of 2009

Yeah… i’ve been really really bored…..

No parties, no outgoings, but for this weekend, I, and Audrey gave a great treat to our friend Ivan.
It has been the happiest, and for once, I just forget about everything related to how i dislike my life in Melbourne, the wind ( it was really windy that day ) just took all my stress and emotions together with it. I was very impressed, and very satisfied.

It’s by far the best weekend of 2009.

We had a nice spicy authentic native Chinese food. Along China Town. ( 4 adjectives ? Think so.. )

Click the Pictures bellow to enlarge it :

Food was good, loved the prawns, it was so fresh and nicely done, not fishy at all. Eventhough Ivan could not take spicy food, he loves the day. It was just awesome, I brought my brother marvin along to celebrate so that Life is not just about staying at home.

Wishing Ivan a Happy Birthday.
This will be our last year to see each other. As he will be graduating end of this year.

Thanks for the memories.

Cheers.

It’s official.

2 big great projects, started at the same time, finished at the same time. It was hectic. But i managed to go through it with no problems at all. I’m impressed. Sometimes i do think, what am i here for ? Our lecturers hardly teach the uses of Adobe softwares… everything i know, i learned by my self. The only thing i learned from them is that, we have to change our designs this and that, and i’m sick of it. I kinda hate it here. Oh well, after this last project, it’s the end of my Year 2, and i’ll go through one more hectic year next year, and that’s it for my melbourne life. I would certainly not come back here again. =)

Printing day

Today is officially printing day. It has been 6 weeks since our magazine assignment is briefed at class. So here comes the day where I had to print my magazine for the final mockup. Audrey and I decided to go together. Well she has a car anyway. At twelve noon she reached my apartment and we went for lunch along King’s street called the Little king’s eatery where they serve Malaysian food. Mostly Chinese Malaysian. To my surprise it taste pretty awesome. I ordered hokkien Mee. And it was delicious. It’s not the normal sweet hokkien Mee you find in melbourne. It’s really close to what I can get in Malaysia. Although it is not as good as the one I had in Heidelberg heights, at least this one is located in the city. So after that we went to our magazine printing company to print our work. Thanks to my iPhone gps we were able to get there safe and sound. My magazine cost me a whooping 260 Australian dollars for 3 copies of it. Well… At least I can get it printed. I better get a distinction for this!! Cheers people.

Photography class was really interesting today. Had great fun playing with all the studio stuffs that I don’t have. How I wish dad will build a studio back at home for me. Haha. Love the umbrella, flashes was firing around, lights were being difused. The day ended with a nice Korean dinner and an episode of Australian idol. Cheers people

It has been 20 minutes

Ok so I caught the mosquito in a bag and I freaked out maybe because I was pussy enough to think that the mosquito couldve just pierce through the plastic bag Into my skin. So I have Marvin the plastic bag and he started to freak out too and he threw the plastic bag opened with the big fat mosquito in it. Thus it got out…………… What a shame.

Got owned by a mosquito.

A Private mail from RMIT University

Just got home from lunch just now. Had a vegetarian meal. Sick of meaty stuff.

I went to check my mailbox and I found a letter sent from my uni, addressed to me. I opened it up and to my surprise, this is what it says, I’m gonna type it down since the picture is way too small for you to read:

Dear Jin Shan

On behalf of the program I would like to congratulate you on the success in your studies this year with Communication Design.

Your results place you in the top 10% of your year level for semester one 2009.

Your hardwork, commitment to your studies and your ability are a credit to you.

We wish you success with your future studies.

Yours sincerely,

Bronwyn Clarke
Program Coordinator
Communication Design

I’m pretty happy because this is what my parents pay the university for, to lecture me to be great in studies.

This is for you mom and dad.
